Capital Interfaith Hospitality Network

Capital Interfaith Hospitality Network (CIHN) provides meals and shelter for homeless families
in Washington, D.C. CIHN’s stable, home-like environment allows families to focus on developing
skills that will lead them to permanent housing and an independent life. We utilize community
resources including congregation and community volunteers to serve these families at their
time of greatest need.
Central Union Mission - Washington, DC

Established in 1884, Central Union Mission is one of America’s oldest social service ministries.
It serves homeless men, families living in poverty, children from at-risk neighborhoods and
the growing Hispanic population of the city. Its mission is to glorify God through proclaiming
and teaching the gospel, leading people to Christ, developing disciples, and serving the needs
of hurting people throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area.

Community Council for the Homeless at Friendship Place - Washington, DC

Friendship Place provides the homeless in Northwest Washington DC a continuum of care,
including street outreach, case management, referrals, psychiatric care, medical care,
benefits assistance, and transitional and permanent housing. National Presbyterian is
one of twenty founding congregations, and we support CCHFP financially and with volunteers.

Habitat DC

Habitat for Humanity of Washington, D.C. believes that everyone deserves a house
they want to call home. That's why we work to eliminate poverty housing and
homelessness in the nation's capital by building affordable, energy- and
resource-efficient homes for people in need. D.C. Habitat builds and
rehabilitates homes in order to sell them to families who are ineligible
for conventional financing.

Third Street Church of God is an African-American church in the heart of Washington, D.C.
Just northwest of Union Station, the congregation reaches out to the Shaw community
with Jesus' message of hope and healing.
One Ministries' Unique Learning Center

That's why UNIQUE Learning Center’s ministry to children in the Shaw community of
Washington, DC is so important. Through this ministry’s deliberate effort to shape
