Other Supported Missionaries
In addition to supporting members of NPC who are actively engaged in Christian missions, we also support these individuals.
Glenn and Jewell Machlan - Wycliffe Bible Translators (Philippines)
Glenn and Jewell Machlan are translating scripture for the people of Mangali in the
mountains of the northern Philippines. The Kalinga province where Mangali is located
is known for its animistic beliefs, revenge killings, and tribal war, and the language
doesn't even have words for "mercy" and "grace." But the introduction of scripture in
the language that speaks to the people's hearts has begun to break up some of those
strongholds, though Satan doesn't give up territory easily.
Fraser and Liz Bennett - Wycliffe Bible Translators (Dallas, Texas)
Translating the Bible for 200 million of the world's most marginalized people is a
demanding task that requires extensive training. Fraser's job as International
Academic Training Coordinator is to make sure that training is available.
Stuart and Cathie Showalter - Wycliffe Bible Translators (Burkina Faso, West Africa)
(http://www.wycliffe.org) (http://www.ShowalterFamily.net/ministry)
"We hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own languages!"
These words from the book of Acts in the Bible have finally reached the Kaan people of
Burkina Faso, in their own language. The Christians among the Kaan are waiting for the
completion of the New Testament in the Kaansa language. Find out how long it will take,
and how far the Kaansa Translation Team has come since 1987.
